8 Questions for your Houston Plastic Surgeon
Choosing a Houston Surgeon in Dallas Texas is an important decision. Whenever you’re thinking about surgery make sure you do your research.
8 Questions for your Houston Plastic Surgeon
Before choosing a Houston plastic surgeon make sure you feel comfortable with the surgeon. Here are some questions you should ask a doctor before making a decision.
- Can you give me references? This is one of the more important questions you can ask when choosing a Houston plastic surgeon. If a plastic surgeon cannot provide you with referrals then we would suggest you reconsidering your choice.
- What are your thoughts on the type of surgery I’m considering? If the surgeons ideas aren’t the same as your overall goals find a surgeon that has the same ideas in mind. It’s your body and if your surgeon has a different idea of the outcome you’ll more than likely be disappointed with the results.
- Where will the procedure be preformed?
- What other medical staff will assist with the surgery? Are there additional costs for these people? Many times additional staff will be needed, especially if it’s not at a hospital.
- What are the risks associated with this type of surgery? Every surgery has risks, even if minimal. If a surgeon says there are no risks that should be a red flag.
- How long have you been a plastic surgeon?
- How many times have you performed this type of surgery?
- What will the total cost be after facilities and additional medical staff? If you need financing ask if that is available or if they can help you obtain financing.
Make sure you do your due diligence when choosing a Houston plastic surgeon based on the surgeons experience and type of surgery. Some surgeons are better suited to do different procedures.
Don’t feel like you have to choose the same surgeon for your face lift that you used for breast augmentation. There may be some situations where this is the best option but in some situations you may want to use a specialty surgeon for your case.
